The Dominican Museum in Roseau.

Posted 1 year ago by avatar donny in response to avatar listo's question: Where can we get a piece of island's history, in Roseau? (give a different answer) .

In order to get some of the island's geology, history, archaeology, economy as well as culture I had a worthy visit at The Dominican Museum in Roseau, housed in an old market house dating from 1810. It has items that displays on pre-Columbian peoples, the slave trade, and the Fighting Maroons ( those who resisted their white slave owners and made their own communities). The visit costs about 2 EC$, its open mainly from 9 am to 4 pm, located between the Plaza and the sea, in the old post office.
